P&L responsibility

For our commercial organization in Glossop, UK, we are now looking for a new Sales Director for our UK and Ireland markets. You will together with your team (8 employees) get full P&L responsibility for sales in the UK & Ireland, including:

  • Implement annual sales targets according to existing business plan
  • Develop business strategies with focus on increasing market share and ensuring profitable and sustainable growth within District Heating & Cooling

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee, guide, and expand the sales team; motivate employees to meet company objectives
  • Engage in direct sales activities including negotiations, presentations, and participating in tenders
  • Actively engage in political-level discussions pertaining to green transition
  • Manage business performance, monitor risks, and implement recovery plans
  • Oversee opportunity pipeline and ensure clarity in sales forecasting
  • Provide technical advice and expertise to align customer requirements with our offerings
  • Handle claims, support in receivable collections, and delivery execution as required

Professional qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the District Heating market or related businesses (e.g., HVAC, water & sewage, gas network)
  • Experience in sales management, ideally within an international setting
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably at an international company
  • Familiarity with public tender processes and contractor sales

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, motivated, and proactive
  • Ability to work cohesively in diverse teams and matrix organizations
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
