Kingspan LOGSTOR is a leading supplier of pre‐insulated pipe systems for energy‐efficient transportation of liquids and gases for district heating and cooling, marine and industrial purposes as well as oil and gas pipelines. Our systems consist of flexible and rigid pipes, joints, fittings and surveillance. Inventing the pre-insulated pipe technology more than 50 years ago, we have delivered more than 185,000 km of pre‐insulated pipes.

At Kingspan LOGSTORs UK, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Kingspan LOGSTOR's jointing solutions on district heating mains across the nation. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the UK Academy and Service Manager.
  • Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on district heating systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the operation and maintenance of Kingspan LOGSTOR's jointing solutions.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to improve system performance and contribute to product development.
  • Complete detailed service reports, maintain service logs, and manage inventory of parts and tools.
  • Provide training and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Be willing to travel extensively across the UK to meet service requirements.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2, or equivalent in Fabrication and Welding (Plastic), or a related field. (Desirable)
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer, preferably within the district heating or related industry. (Desirable)
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, circuits, and plastic welding procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and industry-specific equipment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Blue CSCS card (Desirable)

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
